Back to school season is exciting for some kids, but stressful for others and their families.
Returning for the fourth year, Katie & Ed’s Lunch Project benefits Brown Bagging for Calgary’s Kids and over 8000 kids in Calgary facing food insecurity. This program runs solely on community donations and your generosity. 1/3 kids in Calgary faces food insecurity and that is a very sobering stat. Your donation in many cases provides the only meal a child receives that day.
Together we’ve raised enough money for thousands of lunches so far, and we’re doing it again!
A $4 donation feeds one child for a day. A $20 donation provides a healthy lunch for the week.
An $80 donation ensures a Calgary child has a lunch for the entire month.
Full bellies means happier kids!
Brown Bagging for Calgary’s Kids (BB4CK) is a community-funded, non-profit organization that has been working for over 30 years to make sure kids across Calgary have access to the food they need.
Every day, thousands of children arrive at school without enough to eat. With over 1 in 3 kids in Alberta living in food-insecure households, they believe no child should have to learn on an empty stomach. That’s why they work together—with the BB4CK community of generous volunteers, donors, schools, and partners—to prepare and deliver nutritious lunches to kids who need them, every school day
